Carousel Expands Its Amazon Signage Stick Integration with New Management Capabilities

New capabilities bring device management and monitoring into Carousel, giving operators greater visibility and control over Amazon Signage Stick deployments.

The updates expand on the collaboration between Amazon Signage and Carousel, announced in November 2025, to provide straightforward, dependable, and scalable solutions that give operators greater control over the players they deploy in the field.

The enhancements are made possible by Amazon Signage's Remote Management APIs, which Amazon Signage recently opened to authorized content management providers. Carousel used that access to add native management and monitoring features to its Cloud Player for the Amazon Signage Stick. Paired with the Amazon Signage mobile app, which lets teams deploy and manage enterprise-grade signage across a facility or campus in minutes, the result is a more complete management experience from a single content management system.

New capabilities available within Carousel include:

•Over-the-air updates. The Carousel dashboard now flags when a Carousel app or Amazon Signage OS update is available, and both can be launched together from within Carousel. Updates apply automatically, so players stay current whether an operator runs them on demand or lets them install overnight.
•Power Save. Carousel's Power Save feature now switches compatible HDMI displays on and off at scheduled times using Amazon Signage's HDMI-CEC display control, supporting energy-efficient operation across locations.
•Display rotation. Carousel now rotates content through Amazon Signage's OS-level rotation APIs, and the setting holds across reboots. This supports proper portrait and inverted-landscape playback for all content, including YouTube.
•Model identification. Carousel reliably identifies specific Amazon Signage Stick models by reading the model identifier directly from Amazon Signage's APIs.
•Resource monitoring. Carousel tracks device metrics, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and overall health at regular intervals, giving operators and support clearer visibility into each player's status.
